Terms of use

These are the terms under which you use Fileroom (the "app"). They're short on purpose. If anything is unclear, write to support@fileroom.app.

1. License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Fileroom on devices you own or control, for personal and reasonable commercial use. You may not redistribute the app, decompile it, or use the Fileroom name or logo without written permission.

2. Your responsibilities

• The files you convert are your responsibility. Don't use Fileroom for material you don't have the right to use.
• Some output formats are lossy (JPEG, MP3, AAC and others). Keep your originals where quality matters.
• Encrypted formats (AES-256 ZIP, PDF passwords) are only as strong as the password you choose. We don't store, recover or transmit your passwords.

3. Free features and Pro

Everyday conversions are free. Fileroom Pro unlocks additional tools — such as OCR, advanced PDF tools, encrypted archives, media tools and unlimited batches — and is sold as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Some free features have usage limits, which are shown in the app. Features and limits may change in future versions; changes apply going forward, never to purchases you've already made.

4. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are billed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Cancel, change or request a refund through your device's subscription settings or directly with Apple or Google. We don't handle billing and can't issue refunds ourselves, but we're happy to help you contact them.

5. Open-source components

Fileroom is built on open-source software including FFmpeg, libarchive, zlib, libwebp and others. Their licenses (LGPL, BSD, MIT, Apache 2.0) are listed with version numbers in About › Acknowledgements in the app. Where a license requires it (LGPL — FFmpeg), we provide links to the source.

6. Disclaimers

Fileroom is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep conversions correct, but we can't guarantee that every conversion will be lossless or identical across versions. Keep your originals.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including loss of data. For any direct claim, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the previous 12 months.

7. Termination

You can stop using Fileroom and delete it at any time. We may suspend the app or specific features if required by law, by Apple's or Google's store policies, or to fix a security issue — and we'll say so clearly when that happens.

8. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer resides (currently Jordan). Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country still apply.
